[edit]

I think it would be helpful to add a little more on the “Alphabet Paintings” in this article. Why are these letters significant enough to add to his biography? What is it about them that is revolutionary? How are these letters a good example of abstract expressionism? An image of one of the works might also be helpful.

For the geometric abstraction section, what do you mean by “deep space”? what example could you give that shows deep space? In the second paragraph you say “All of these works are composed in acrylic black and white.”. What works specifically are you talking about? Doe this collection of black and white works have a name? You describe the works but I don’t exactly know to what the description is referring to.

Finally, I don’t really know much about Al Held’s work but in the final line of the geometric abstraction section you give the dimentions of one of his murals. Is says 13’ by 180’. I’m curious as to whether that’s a type-o and it’s supposed to be 130’ by 180’. If not, I would really like to know the name of the piece.

Overall, I think this topic is pretty interesting and I like how descriptive you could get with the formal analysis.
